The Lufthansa Minor Policy permits the booking of flights for children. Airlines will let children between the ages of 5 and 11 fly alone if they are the only passengers on the aircraft who are 12 years of age or older. If their parents give their permission, 12- to 17-year-olds who are not accompanied may participate in this programme. Only unaccompanied minors who are driven to the airport by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult are allowed to fly alone.
